Lol, is Jeremy playing coaching search martyr again? That's quickly becoming my favorite part of these things.

What's wrong with him giving information from people in the know?

Nothing. But they are people that he thinks are in the know. And they are people with their own agenda.

I like the information he gives, but I certainly take it with the filter that it deserves.

I'm not so sure. It depends on what was said between the two parties. If Campbell's representative made it sound like a done deal and really wasn't negotiating in good faith then let him go.
This is something some are missing. No one is going to blame someone for looking for better offers, but how you do it is a big deal.

I think either of Campbell, Monken, or Fritz would be excellent hires. They have my total support.

What's wrong with him giving information from people in the know?

Nothing. But he acts like the flack he gets when people question his sources or his information deeply affects him emotionally, but he continues to do it for the betterment of humanity. It's just a bit dramatic for my taste. Similar to these coaching searches.....

These are my top three out of the lists we've seen (although we haven't seen Monken's name nearly enough).

The offer leak and the Missouri interview tonight makes me think its unlikely we end up with Campbell for two reasons: The interview is exactly what our quick action was meaning to avoid, and Campbell has just been playing us for more money at Missouri.

We can process a full refund for the past 6 years you've been a member, remind me what subscription you're paying for so I can get it processed.

Also, do we know Pollard was the one cancelling some of the interviews? Its seems just as likely that the other candidates backed out of the interviews when they felt the job was all but locked up after the offer leak.

Pretty sure this is what Dopey is talking about. Most adults would just move on.

The fact that this stuff leaks is a two sided coin for everyone involved. A lot of this stuff is pretty standard, especially the effort to leverage the best possible offer, and 25 years ago you probably wouldn't even hear about it. But now, within a couple hours of the first vague tweet, you have message board posters acting like they've been left at the altar based on their own wild speculation.

This is business. It isn't always pretty. It will play out.

You need to just shut the **** up. Nobody is forcing you to come on here buddy.

I appreciate any info I can get on here, and Jeremy and CW are the only ones on here that have any kind of inside knowledge whatsoever. Is it always completely accurate, no, but it's surely better than nothing, and they are only reporting what they are hearing, so it's not like they are misleading anyone.

Keep up the good work Jeremy! Just ban these tools if you have to.

ISU should interview multiple candidates so see what each one offers.

But each of those candidates should interview only at ISU.
