The Cubs-Hawkeyes fans are drooling right now. Hassel said that (partially) tongue-in-cheek but just as many "Hawkeyes on my belly" types are wearing their Cubbies PJs to bed and expecting to get a ring.

Hassel has potential, but when he makes comments like that it just makes me vomit in my mouth... I still don't think the Hawks will win 7, and the Cubs will not win a playoff series this season. Just not their years.
I'm not a huge Hassel fan and it's for **** like that...he just doesn't know how to shut up. I enjoy some of the funny things he says but sometimes he just tries too hard.
Cards get the sweep tonight. 10 left to play and currently 4.5 up on Pittsburgh (who is winning by one in the 7th right now against Colorado).
To make matters better the Cards get Milwaukee at Busch while the Pirates have to go to Wrigley for their next series. Then its PIT @ STL for the last intra-division series of the year.
Things are looking good for St. Louis after a bumpy patch earlier this month.

96 wins and still can't quite shake the Pirates. Pretty amazing what is going on in the NL Central this year. Three teams will have more than 90 wins and it looks like the Cards are going to have to go over 100 to fend off the Pirates.
