I have a pretty good close up in the 100 years of ISU hoops video. I used to sit at the scorer's table as a student asst in the SID/Media Relations Dept. Not that it makes me famous, but I always point it out when it's on
I've been contacted and asked for an audition tape by David Lettermans producers for "audience show and tell". One time was invited, but last minute they cancelled...always hoping for another New York number to ring my cell phone.
Craig brackins won a tip and I won plane tickets duing the "win the tip, win a trip" promotion. I ended up selling the plane vouchers.

One time at an ISU banquet in the Quad Cities, my brother and I stood back behind Johnny Orr during an interview - just to try and be on tv.
We were probably 15' behind them, but on TV it looked like we were directly behind them so every movement seemed amplified.
Looked like dorks on the news.
Felt stupid, too, when coworkers said something the next day at work.

Senior Spring Break on a cruise ship. Had a "Cruise Ship Idol" that had a few prelims each night Then the finalists (8) all sang Saturday night.
I drunkenly sung Buttercup and made it to the finals with actually talented people. When I got up to sing, I went in front of probably 1/3-1/2 of the ship and was horrid. The Emcee was visibly upset I was there and thought it was some sort of joke.
I had fun though.

I met the Queen Mum and Queen Elizabeth in 1986. Other than that, I don't think CFH remembers me throwing the door open at Beardshear in '95 that hit him hard. Thought I would have to leave school during basketball season because I broke the mayor, but he was fine.
I think it only really counts if it's Allamakee or Winnishiek counties though. I keed, I keed.
I had pick 6 vs. Dallas Clark in HS. His team was terrible. I was also interviewed by some guy from NPR at work that people tell me is well known, but I still can't tell you his name. Finally, I have an uncanny ability to get on TV during ISU football games. Actually it's because I sit in row 2 a lot and have adorable kids.

Worked at a bank once, opened a checking account for Darius Darks, also helped Wayne Morgan with some transactions.
Officiated a game once that Jevohn Miller was in. I guess that's like 20 seconds of Cyclone fame, at least...
