Re: NDSU v Iowa State 2014 (after NDSU wins 3rd title & 43-2!)

NDSU returns 8 starters (3 LB's, 2 Safeties, 1 Corner, 2 DL's) on the #1 defense (8 points per game) Returns a Star RB John Crockett 1200 yards, WR Zach Vraa almost 1000 yards and 3 O Lineman. New Head Coach is the D Coord Chris Klieman (northern iowa guy- ICK!)

NDSU will be just fine, we RELOAD baby.

Im just asking ya'll to cheer for us Saturday! oh and if you're in dallas texas, come tailgate and party with the 15,000 NDSU fans going. (gophers took 2500 to texas for their bowl game, haha)

Isn't Grant Olson MLB, a senior? You lose your top corner Williams. You do appear to have 7 returners on defense and lose QB Jensen, TB Ojuri, your LT, RG, TE, no? Return 4 starters on offense.

Granted it will be a war as we HAVE to win this game to go bowling as it is one of the easiest on our schedule (no disrespect to NDS).

I hope you win the Championship so you come into Jack Trice all cocky, and I hope we are the underdogs.

Go Cyclones!

NDSU will be a shell of itself next fall. They will be going through a major transition in just about every aspect of their operation. ISU will be healthy and win this game by 17+.

This will be a war. We will have a new OC and playing against an experienced Defense. We will need to play well on offense, which we are capable, but whether we are learning a new playbook or having entirely new schemes to learn will impact this game. We will have the talent, we will need to excecute at a high level. I see this game being even or possibly us favored by 1.5 points.

Will NDST cover the 13.5 vs Towson?

They crushed the last team they played in Fargo, I should have got on that Train, but I missed out. This game is in Frisco, TX. How good is Towson? Is NDST a good pick or over rated?

I'll be cheering for NDSU. It's pretty amazing to see a 3 time champ at any level.

While beating KU means very little, the win at KSU this year was very impressive and something ISU hasn't done for a long time.

While I think we'll beat NDSU next fall, they deserve more credit/respect than many here are giving them.

Although with lakes being a tool, it certainly makes that harder to do.

we were just talking the other day, not only would it suck to live in north dakota, but not having any acutal teams to cheer for would suck. There isnt any d1 or pro teams in sight. Sad.

WE LIVE 40 miles from 1000 MINNESOTA LAKES.. how about ames? 5 hours? give us a break, downtown fargo is a party beyond party's.

ADMIN MR JANNY I cant believe you post like that as an admin, that's bush league and a straight up LIE.

The NDSU game in 2009 was my very first Iowa State football game. Good times.

Hey, guy, we're balls deep in the best start ever basketball season in school history. We are not even a little concerned with football right now.

Everyone needs to read this one more time.

Re: NDSU v Iowa State 2014 (after NDSU wins 3rd title & 43-2!)

As I posted in page 1. NDSU will have 14 starters back and most of defense. NDSU title game is -13 1/2 NDSU right now.

We will have 18 guys coming back with starting experience (11 on offense) and our OL should finally be healthy, which we had troubles with from the 1st quarter of the first game last year with multiple MCL injuries to our C, G, and Tackles. We had 9 different starting combos on the OL, worst I can ever remember at ISU. Got a lot of experience built to what was already a young OL to start the year. They all return along with many of our 2nd string, many who started, and a 357 pounder who is transferring in from Juco. One of the nation's top WR coming in with Allen Lazard. Hope you have a DB who is 6'4 who can cover him. Could be a long night for your CB's!

Have some key losses on Defense but with multiple JUCO guys already signed who should contribute right away. This will be our wild card. Returning 6 of our front 7 who have started.

Will be an inexperienced ISU Defense vs. an inexperienced NDSU Offense and an Experienced ISU Offense vs. an experienced NDSU Defense. Will be an interesting game.

Bring your Tailgating gear, this isn't Fargo you're coming to eh you Hoser.:twitcy:

I'll be flipping back and forth between the TT game and the Game but I hope you guys find a way to keep Crockett eligible in the next 9 months ;) Must be an easy school.
