Marchiony said he did not believe Mangino's condition was in any way alarming.

That's my favorite line. I think anyone who weighs less than Mangino would say his weight is "alarming"

Who here thinks Mangino has to reach up between his legs to wipe his butt instead of around the side?

This is something I've avoided thinking about for over 31 years of my life....... until now. Thank you kind sir.

This brings to mind the joke about Mangino recruiting in KC.
In all seriousness, he needs to do something about his weight. I am 6'1 and a year ago was tipping the scales at 297. I was sitting at an All-U-can eat buffet one night on a business trip and realized that I was one of the smaller people there. Figured it was time to do something and I'm glad I did.

Quite frankly I DO consider being 5-10 and 450 lbs an alarming health condition.

It's more than that. The dude is absolutely huge. I don't make fun of people about their weight, and I don't like to criticize people about it either. But the fact is the guy is absolutely massive and needs to take steps to get healthy. If the guy loses 2 bills he's STILL 5'10" 250 which is STILL probably not a healthy weight.

The guy can coach 'em up but he really needs to get the other aspects of his life under control.

So if he's actually 5'10" and 450lbs his body mass index (BMI) is 64.6! Here's some guidance to what the BMI tells you:

<18.5 is underweight
18.5-24.9 normal
25-29.9 overweight
>30 obese

Now, the BMI doesn't account for muscle. For example a body builder may have a BMI that indicates that he is obese. However, this clearly shows the severity of his condition.
