How annoying is the band?

This is the dumbest thread. It is a proven fact that odd or strange things are less easy to forget and "get in your head" more than mundane things do so the real question is why is this so limited. I have always wondered why hilton didnt just shut up during opposing freethrows and let a handful of creative people go to work...so much could be done on road games as well to give us an edge. Really who cares if it is annoying the only question that matters is howled effective it is and that really should be pretty obvious.

If we are voting, I don't like the schtick. I find it embarrassing personally and wish they wouldn't do it. There are clever chants and then there are sophomoric chants. I find most of what the band does is juvenile. If you think they are funny, well...

Look, I don't think anybody in the band is going to be the next Louis CK either, but I don't get the "embarassing" part.

I form this opinion after witnessing (live) the looks on UT volleyball players and fans faces when the band was doing it at the volleyball game last fall - the look of "really... we're embarrassed for you." I think there are chants that are too personal and I find them embarrassing as a fan and I think there are chants (our band) that are embarrassingly juvenile. Just my take.

Did your parents ever ask you if you would jump off a bridge if you saw all your friends doing it? Because you are jumping off the bridge. Who gives a **** what longhorns think? about anything? seriously.

You're kind of proving my point from before. If a UT volleyball player is giving them looks, that's time they're not focusing on the game. It "worked". The band doesn't care, and why should they? If you're the type that's soooo bothered by this, you're the type that already made up your mind that they're losers just because they're in the band.

The day Georges Niang comes out and says "I think I could have blocked that last shot by Craft, but I was just so distracted by how lame our band is" is the day this becomes something worth getting mad about.
