Who said that? Just because two guards were the first to climb on board, doesn't make them the "top priority". That's what my old Econ prof would have called a "causality fallacy".I agree that we shouldn't panic. We will undoubtedly take big(s) with the '13 class. However the fact that we took 3 guards and 1 post with the '12 class, and that our top priorities (and first two commits) of '13 are guards, it has people curious as to the staff's philosophy.

I think the transfer thing is largely over. That was just for an instant infusion of talent. We're not seeing the transfers come here this year.
You make great points. What I was saying is that there is a difference between those two specific players being a priority (especially Thomas), and the guard position being the first priority for this class. Sorry if I didn't make that clear...but if for some reason, you'd like to think these two weren't priorities, you're free to do so. I won't argue it anymore.
I disagree. Obviously we went hard after Lockett and that kid that ended up at Florida. I think that for any spring openings we have Hoiberg will look towards transfers. I think it is a pretty genius strategy actually since spring high school signees are really high risk.
By "and" I think that he meant both, and just couldn't remember DFS's na--er, initials. :wink:Not sure how to fix this. Did you mean DFS ended up at Florida? Or Lockett ended up at Marquette? Either way, both statements are correct.
soon to be 3???Why cant we drop '13 bigs for a moment. We have 2 soon to be 3 source top 100 commits. They also continue to sky rocket in rank. The bigs will come, so why worry? Let's enjoying bragging about our 2 guys!

Here's a Rivals article praising Thomas's performance. Also a mention for Jeremy Morgan.
