Big 12 Network Announcers

They were terrible, and they need to call a game without belching out their own opinions.

To say that Kansas "smokes Iowa State" or "Imagine that Bill Self gets another easy win at home" is not good for the network.

Pathetic if you ask me.

I think they forgot that they weren't working for the KU television network. They are supposed to announce, not lead cheers.

I imagine that you wouldn't have much of a problem with it if we had smoked KU and they had described our win as such.

I agree in general with you, but this is what we get for being the laughing stock of the conference. Some day it might get better. Some day.

Personally, just because we are bad, doesn't mean that the announcers need to make that call. The stats speak for themselves, the announcers need to leave it to stats and scores.

The game shouldn't be called that way, on either side. I try to play it fair.

I like it when Mitch is calling games... of course im a Chiefs fan as well... But i dont know what game you were watching... KU did smoke us... I dont know how many 3's we hit in the 2nd half, but it didnt matter... A win over 20 is a impressive win... Stop crying about the little things....this thread should belong in a husker foorball forum....

If you don't like the "crying" don't read this post. I was bringing up a conversation point that I noticed during the game, thats it. They smoked us, you are correct, but that doesn't NEED to be said Over-The-Air. I don't believe its their call to make. I would expect it called that way on the Kansas network, not Big 12.

A win over 20? Yes, very impressive so give Kansas credit and say they played a great game, pretty simple.

Im sure the KU fans are complaining on there boards about how much those TV Announcers were giving praise to CFH for hiring Bobby Lutz... Or how they kept taking about all the transfers freddy brought in...

It is your opinion that the announcers suck.... fine... But Mitch does TV for the Big 12 and Missouri Vally conference so im going to say a few people must think that he calls games pretty fair..... I guess the comment didnt really bother me.. that is all...

Not only my opinion, but it seems others agree as well. It appears your the odd one out. So in YOUR opinion they were fair. It seems you are more AGAINST the Cyclones than you are for them.

Again, it was something I noticed. But, as usual someone needs to take it more than what its worth.

Respect is earned, not just granted - and nobody's going to start giving us the respect that you think we "deserve" until we earn it, and you earn respect in this game by winning.

Oh, by the way, the "don't read my post if you don't like it" - that's also quite idiotic. How the hell are we supposed to know whether we like a post or not unless we read it? And like I said - you have the right to share your opinion, and we have the right to call you out if we don't like what you don't have to say. went back through and read this thread again.... it looks to be split about 50/50...so...yea..

bottom line is I read a thread like this with people ******** about things like the announcers and I feel like it belongs in a huskersillustraded message board... I get enough of that crap living this close to Nebraska...

Where did I say we "deserved respect"?

Once you read the post and disagree with it why continue to complain and tear it apart. The problem with message boards are people like you, who believe that its their best interest to not only disagree with them, but to rip it with no constructive arguments or valid points. The only thing you can do is cause a problem. Basically you spent 3/4 of your post saying how you have a right to do anything you can to rip my opinion when thats not even the discussion. Why don't you try and go against the grain and be constructive.

You have the right to call me out? And what good does that do? Nothing! You waste your time typing on something I could careless about. I look at people that can disagree with valid points. There might be a reason you get "ripped daily."

So, you believe that because Kansas has been successful throughout the years then the announcers are entitled to calling the game in their favor? You would make a terrible judge. Announcers are there to call it neutral.

Some people come on these boards to do one thing, and one thing only and that is to disagree.

I don't believe we need to win national titles to be "earn" some degree of respect.
I believe we earn to have a game we're playing in to be called fair regardless of our success past and present.
