I don't know if the shot was in time or not, but the game should have never come down to that shot. In the closing seconds Melvin got a rebound and Creighton hacked the ball loose, then got bailed out on the desperation shot that had no chance. Creighton got two huge breaks from the officials in the last 5 seconds so if we got one at the buzzer, so be it.
On WHO13 highlights Melvin did not get hacked, but stripped cleanly, but there was also absoutely not foul on the shot attempy, didn't even touch him, creighton played just flopped after the desperation shot. Better team won, if anybody got screwed on calls all night it was the clones.
Wish he'd show the class McD is showing. He's ******* all over twiiter about ISU being given the game. There was going to be OT, right? Way to crap on kids in your listening area that worked their ***** off all afternoon.
Let's all call in tomorrow and put him in his place, bunk foul at the end, even if missed it would have been over time, haven't seen a pic yet showing the time remaining on the clock when the shot went off, judgement call by the refs just like all the calls the jays got the entire game. Oh and McD should have gotten a T.

The fact is, the exact same thing could have happened to us. Granted, it didn't, but those were the rules the game was played under. I don't think it cheapens the effort we saw out of ISU today as they played their butts off to get back into that game, and if we could have knocked down a free throw, it would have never come to that in the first place.
Props to Creighton and Greg McDermott. I'm glad that McDermott is gone and I wish him and that team the best of luck moving forward.
Along with officials allowing Kansas extra point (or points?) a few years back.

Odd we've only seen pics showing the lower half of the basket, not the clock at the top, let us know if anybody finds one showing the clock.
You cannot blame the refs for the outcome of the game they called the game equally bad for both teams.
This is too easy for Perrault. He always has to have something to complain about. He likes to **** off ISU fans. He is going to whine about the shot counting. He's then going to point out how ridiculous it was that the game wasn't on TV. If Jamie Pollard would have set up a decent event, the game would have been televised, the play would have been reviewed, they would have played overtime, and Creighton probably would have won because they had the momentum. Bank on it. This will come back to Pollard according to Perrault.
WHOTV had said the both schools wanted the game on TV but did not have the rights since it was at Wells Fargo, Global Sports controls those rights and did not want it on TV so they would have more walk up ticket sales........not Pollards fault.
If he does that it will just show how stupid he really is. This event was set up and agreed apon by both schools. It wasnt on TV so fans would go to the game.
I understand. That doesn't mean Perrault will. He probably won't even attempt to understand. He gets better ratings that way.
Am I the only one that finds it a little pathetic that we win a great game and this thread has turned into Perrault bashing instead of focusing on the win? Who care's what his opinion is.
