The Walking Dead

It's weird. It's almost like it's catching, just for a second. I don't have a dish, there's no storm or anything and it's not doing it for any other channels. Even more weird that it's not happening everywhere else. I just assumed it was the station, but that can't be the case.

So, would you want to know about your wife and best friend?

I don't think I would. Unless something was going on while they thought he was still alive. If they didn't hook up until afterward, I don't think I'd want to know a single thing.

Another good episode... its too bad this season is so short.

Also... holy crap.. i expected him to use the saw, but... not that way.

not enough zombies....too many hillbillies.

The show has been ok so far.

I guess not bad for Frank Darabont...he has been living off "Shawshank" for years.

Agreed. I was saddened when they said there's only 3 episodes left. I suppose something like this with production that it would need, they had to set a certain number of episodes to film and stick with it. You can't just film a pilot and see what happens, and with it really breaking ground (I can't think of any other zombie series) you don't know how well it will be received, so you don't want to film 20 episodes just to have it bomb. I guess they felt it was better to leave us wanting more instead of lose a ton of money filming a ton of episodes nobody would watch.

Also, I'm curious about the friend and wife now. I thought it was mutually understood what was going on, but now I'm thinking he lied or coerced her some way (probably into making her believe he was dead?).

Thats what it sounds like, he told her that her husband was dead. He now becomes a *********, and any fault of hers (assuming he was dead instead of 'knowing') is gone.

So last week Rick's wife got it on with Shane. This week when Rick came back she got it on with him. By the end of this season she's going to find out she's pregnant. But whose will it be? That'll be one of the "cliff hangers" leading us into next season.

And it looks like they find more humans in Atlanta next week.

Wow, only 3 episodes left? Where did you hear that?

I respectfully disagree; it's a TV series so they get to persue storylines more deeply like tension at the camp between survivors, bad guys (humans, like the Dixons and gangs, next episode), basic survival, what the f*** happened?, the possibility of a safe zone (the helicopter) etc., etc. I think they're gettng it just right.

Thought this episode was great. Didnt think he would get back to his wife so quick, but it could get really interesting from here. I loved how the hillbilly cut off his hand instead of hacking the thin bolt that he was cuffed too. Funny stuff.

Apparently the majority of people who survive the zombie apocalypse will be racist/wife beating hillbillies. And some horny policeman.

Good show this week. Wonder where handless ended up?

In Georgia? Yes.

I thought it was an excellent episode. I know I would have spent a lot of time hacking on that bolt before I would have considered hacking on my wrist.

Shane: "you're husbands dead, so let's hook up" What a great partner.
