I want the Bulls to win thats all, i will love them regardless of who is on the team. I just think Bosh Joe J would be better fits to what they want to do. If you dont have players coming off of the bench to back up these players you still will not win. You must have role players instead of loading things with superstars.

You can't win a title if Joe Johnson is your best player. Role players don't win titlese, superstars win titles. Plus Hinrich is overpaid, you can find plenty of guys to give you 15 mins of good defense off the bench.

I wouldn't say the Celtics bench was loaded by any means when they won it or even this season when they made the finals and the Lakers bench other than Odom is not that impressive either. These guys play 40+ minutes in a 48 minute game in the playoffs so it's not like your bench is going to be eating into huge minutes behind your stars.

LeBron is just 25 years old and while there is some merit to not winning a championship yet it's not like he's anywhere close to going on the decline. Bosh is only 26 too and the Bulls key players Rose, Noah, and Deng are 21, 25, and 25 repectively so when your entire starting lineup would be 26 years or younger you could say that could be the making of quite a dynasty if they can make it work and play well together. Jordan was 27 or 28 I think before he won his first ring. You can credit Kobe's first 3 rings to playing next to one of the best bigmen to ever play in the NBA in Shaq and these last 2 were more of him being the lead star on the team but again he's surrounded by better talent that James was in Cleveland and no one will ever mistake Mike Brown for Phil Jackson either.

If I'm Bosh, I go with DWade. He's won it all before and I am sure he'll do it again.

Did you see Game 4 or 5 of the finals where Big Baby and Nate Robinson took the game over? Their bench wasn't as good this go round but it was pretty good in 07-08 with guys like Leon Powe and Eddie House who were huge in the playoffs.

For the people that mention Korver

...Really?

And can a Bulls fan please tell me why they think Noah is the Pippen, to Rose's Jordan?

EXACTLY! JJ is a good player but on a championship team he's a 2nd or 3rd best player on the team. He's not a guy that is going to lead you to the Finals as your best player.

Like the same way a Steve Kerr, John Paxson, Randy Brown, etc. all had big shots or plays for the Bulls in the past? Again, you can find guys that play a role well and occassionally you'll get a great game out of them. You don't need to go out and spend a ton of money on bench guys when your starting lineup is loaded. None of those guys on the Celtics bench are good enough to be a starter on a playoff team or even a marginal starter on some bad teams. All you need is maybe 10 minutes out of them in a playoff game because when push comes to shove your starters are going to play 40+ minutes in a pivotal playoff series and you may only go 7 or 8 players deep into your rotation.

It cracks me up how I can find a million of these blogs/articles about the heat being able to sign anyone they want. So i post one and all the Bulls fans freek and say it's biased and won't happen, yet your own fans post one, and it's fine.

SMDH

I'll go ahead and let you believe whatever you want. Heat will have a decent shot at getting just about anyone they want in free agency, but you're kidding yourself if you think the Bulls didn't just pull ahead.

Depends on your definition of superstars. Looking at the past champions, I'd say each winner usually had 2 superstars.

The NBA is a superstar league more than any other. There are only 5 guys on the floor at a time so one guy can dominate more than other sports. NBA title winners bear this out. The only team in my lifetime (30 years) that won a title without at least one bonafide superstar was the 2004 Pistons, and that only happened b/c the Lakers completely imploded on themselves. Superstars win in the NBA not glorified role players.

If anyone wants to criticize LBJ for his bizarre nonchalance in the Boston series, that floor is wide open. He sucked and seemed oddly distant (Delonte and Momma?). That doesn't mean you would ever or should ever consider Joe Johnson instead.

I am confused as to why my wizkids are doing this.
If its an almost-free kind of deal, i like getting a pick out of it. But Hinrich and Wall at the guard spots pretty much would spell the end for Gilbert Arenas in DC, who is my current favorite player.

Ha, pretty sure you won't have to worry about that. No one is touching Arenas and that contract, he'll be there until it runs out.

And if we're suddeningly making this thread about the Heat, this should add some comedy: Beasley can't be given away.

Adrian Wojnarowski's (Yahoo Sports) twitter:

"For everything the Heat's tried to simply give him away, there isn't one team yet willing to take Michael Beasley into cap space."

The Knicks strike out in free agency and Gilbert looks good, they will be a player.

No they won't, they've spent the better part of a decade trying to get out from bad contracts, they're not gonna throw money away on an overpaid, injury prone, crazy player like Arenas.

I'm still surprised the Wiz didn't try to pursue voiding Arenas contract after the gun incident. Seemed like a good way to get out from it.

Thought I read something about the Magic and Wiz looked at at Vince Carter for Arenas swap but doubt that happens. Arenas will have to play well, keep clean, and stay healthy next season then maybe the Wiz can find a taker for him even if they only get 50 cents to the dollar back on him.

He'll end up in New York after their bids for LeBron/Wade/Bosh blow up.
