I am sure Jamie P. is on top of everything

I'm sure your right....I just wonder how much MORE MONEY ISU will make when the big 12 disintegrates in the near future?

Im sure Jamie will enjoy being an AD at a mid major conference after being with the big boys. :biglaugh:

I cant wait for the great match up with Colorado State!!!!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

Jaime might know what is going on, but there is nothing he can do. ISU is not in a power position. ISU has to take a wait and see approach, it sucks, but we don't have any other options.

Ummm, perhaps you didn't notice but this information was on the INTERNET. So yeah, it's pretty serious.
:jimlad:

Perrault just linked on twitter that Beebe cancelled today's press conference at the Big 12 Meetings. Something is happening...or he doesn't want to answer questions about this pac-10 story.

There's a lot of smoke coming from the KC area right now. Even in the CR Gazette article posted above Prez Geoffroy says that the whole thing is "concerning". Something is going on here guys.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard. The Pac 10 MUST have a unanimous vote to add new members. Do people really believe that Stanford is going to vote to allow Texas Tech and Oklahoma State into the same conference when they are Tier 3 schools?

They did allow Arizona and Arizona St in - just saying...

Perhaps Beebe was fired for incompetence...

Fired for incompetence...hit by a bus...who cares?

Any way of getting that ***hat out of the Big XII will immediately improve the conference.

As for this story...I'll believe it when it happens.

Something is happening here.

I was kind of skeptical, but I think something is happening...

I definitely think something is happening. Here in Phoenix a local sports radio station interviewed the AD of ASU. They asked her about this expansion. She said, "You know I'm not able to comment on that at this time." You could tell by the tone of her voice and the comments of the hosts that they all knew something was happening behind the scenes that they couldn't talk about yet. Sort of a "nudge nudge wink wink".

Anyone that is all giddy about all this expansion talk, like Jon Miller and nearly all Hawkeye faithful, just remember this....

Rule #1: Money eventually ruins everything.

Trust me... Hawkeye fans will be feeling different about all of this in a few years when they become completely irrelevant.

It's not as easy to win a Big 10 title when you have to play Texas, Nebraska, and Missouri just to win your division. And in the years you have Ohio State on your schedule, you will have to beat Texas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Ohio State.... and then if you're lucky enough to win your division... you'll likely face Ohio State again in the conference championship game.

Money WILL eventually ruin college football. It's only a matter of time. But expansion will make that day come VERY fast. Oh well... it was fun while it lasted. All good things must come to an end. So be it. Good riddance.
