Admission is only $1. First EVER top 10 showdown in Hilton for VB (ISU just moved up to 8th in the nation this week and Texas is 2nd). Really excited to see how a packed Hilton can get the Horns off their game.

It's nice to see the fan support for the team grow. They've certainly earned it. Let's get a record breaking crowd in Hilton for Texas!

I will continue to say this the $25 for a season ticket is the best thing going at
Iowa State. I purchased 3 season tickets this year and the matches are a lot of fun to attend.

I plan to increase my donation level to the NCC next year but am not quite ready to make the jump from $2,500 - $5,000. Instead, I plan to buy 8 season tickets and donate them to my son's high school team or give them to the Youth and Shelter Services here in Ames. An excellent way to show support to Coach Johnson and the team. My little way to hopefully show Coach Johnson we appreciate her work here at ISU!

I'll be there, even with a test at 8. How long do matches usually go? I've been to several but never paid attention. What will my prof think if i show up with face paint on?:biggrin:

Hopefully we'll sweep and you'll be outta there by 8:00 easy.

Not counting on it however.

I think the Baylor match last week went til 8:30 or so. (5 sets)

This huge for Iowa State. First, if we can beat Texas, then the girls know that any team in the country is beatable. That does amazing things for the physchi of a team.

Secondly, seeeding. As the regular season unwinds, seeding for the tournament is huge. If we couold avoid Texas and Penn State in the regionals, then our chances of a Final Four are decent. Those two schools are very very good.

I think we will go to the Final Four. I would hope that we are bidding on hosting 1st and 2nd round matchups in Ames.

I will be there tomorrow night, and I live 3 hours away, so walking into a test wearing face paint is no big deal.

Stuck in the transition (I think).

I've threatened Chris already. But there's a fair bit to work out.

Good point.

You know you've become a VB fan when you're as psyched up for tonight's match as for any football or bb game...

I've been anxious for this week since the schedule came out. Kills me that I won't be around for the NU match this weekend. Should be a great one, NU will most certainly be looking to make a statement and I think the crowd will be the largest, feeding off the football game.

Rather be at that one than tonight .. but oh well.

I'm more jacked for tonight, but both are big.

Here's a Texas player calling the ISU match the "biggest of the year" for them:

Unfortunately I can't see our girls pulling this one out. The only chance we've got IMO is Hooker having an off night.

I had similar sentiments about our trip to Lincoln a few weeks back. Ya never know.

Winning this one would be phenominal. Even bigger than winning in Lincoln IMO.

But the key match for the remainder of the season (again IMO) is NU on Saturday. Win that, and we're in the drivers seat for 2nd in the Big XII - a tremendous accomplishment. It also makes the statement that the win in Lincoln was no fluke.

Win tonight also helps us in both those endeavors. It even puts us in the hunt for a tie for the conference, although we still have a return trip to A&M and need help with another Texas loss (not likely).

Sweep the week - and we have to be looking at a #2 seed at worst in the NCAA's. Maybe putting us in the Minnesota region and hosting the first two rounds (??)
