Nice article about where she’s going now and her basketball career.

Was mowing my neighbor's yard yesterday and noticed the gal that lives behind him on a rider mower, taking the grass down to about golf green height. When she was finished, she brought out her weed eater and was cutting some taller grassweeds. I didn't see if she cleaned the mess up or not as I was done mowing. Just got me to thinking what other's do.

I mow 4 yards in our neighborhood for elderly people. It's been a challenge lately with all the heat and rain to stay ahead of the game. I will usually weed eat first then mow.

CFB Returning Production

Using Bill Connelly's Returning Production Stat, I was curious to see the correlation between returning production and (W/L record): P4 schools only. General take aways were.

If a team has less than 60% returning production, there's a high likelihood of having a rough season. Looking more closely at Duke and Pittsburgh there's a reason why they did better with little returning production.

Duke's final Sagarin 2024 SOS rank was #64 and Pitts was #62. There are 67 P4 teams.

FB: One Question For Every Big 12 Team Heading Into Media Days

Heading into Big 12 Football Media Days, here's one question for each team in the conference.

RV village parking passes

Anyone know the best way to try and get an RV village parking pass on the secondary market? I tried getting a pass of my own through Cy Club but they were sold out.

Or if someone has one they are looking to sell for a single game, LMK. I’d prefer a game besides the rivalry game because that’s a little too intense for my RV tailgating preferences.

Thanks!

Cyclones in Madden & NBA 2K

Well now that we're full swing of the off-season with the NBA Finals now concluded I've been doing research to keep me busy...my latest? Finding every former Cyclone to be included in the Madden Franchise and the NBA 2K Series. Unfortunately I could not find data for Madden 01 and before. I'm going to include a link the first tab is Madden 2nd is the nba 2k games. Most of the information came from https://maddenratings.weebly.com/madden.html

I hope I found every player but I am human so if I missed one please let me know. Also I've never included a weblink for a Google Doc on this website so let me know if there's any issues. I am adding it as a pdf file but I'm unsure how the tabs work. Anywho here it is!

Williams & Blum: Hoops roster construction notes, and Baylor fans are mad

Chris Williams & Brent Blum made Baylor fans mad last week, apparently. Plus, Iowa State adds a prep guard to its 2026 basketball roster. The early verdict is positive with Dom Pleta. The guys hypothesize how T.J. Otzelberger is building his roster for the future. Presented by Mechdyne.

The General's terrible anger unleashed

Roaming about topics on the Web, I just now tripped across this. Do Americans today understand we had a Wild Man leading the Revolution?

A Cold War Tale (Obituary)

This falls into the TL/DR category... But it's a great true story. Presented in the Obituary, of all things.

Click on the Obituary tab if the link doesn't take you there

A 10-15 minute investment in your time, but I could not recommend it more highly

Why doesn't Wide Right Natty Light get media credentials?

Long-time WRNL Discord veteran here, first-time Cyclone Fanatic poster. Heard WRNL got denied Big 12 Media Days credentials. Frankly, that's a travesty. They make elite hype videos and do more for fan engagement than half the credentialed outlets. Is this some kind of anti-meme bias? Smells like gatekeeping, if you ask me.

*** Farnsworth Tribute Mafia Signup ***

Starting a signup for my Farnsworth Tribute Mafia game.

For those that may have missed the news.

Sad news to share

It will be a game full of roles he played throughout the years. Hoping for a large signup because he has had alot of roles seeing how he played in 117 mafia games.

Going to Target Monday 14th for game to kick off. Lots to put together and want enough time for people to signup. Planning on 2 mafia's so would love turnout like we did for longtimeclone.

Would love to see anyone who has played before or wants to tribute Farnsworth to be apart this.

Raise a glass to 1776!

It’s my habit to watch four scenes from the movie 1776 on July 4th then follow with a toast (one, or maybe more, beers). Thought I would post here should anyone be of similar mood.

The fireplug: John Adams. May 1776 no movement toward independence vote. 'Open Up A Window' is a reference to deliberations in secrecy with closed windows and guards posted at windows outside. Philadelphia sweltered. The issue was preventing public factions from applying pressure on delegates and creating stalemate.

Savage scene: Slavery the Divisive Impediment to Independence. ‘Who Stinketh Most, Charleston or Boston?’ New England culpability in the slave trade. (Who remembers Holling Vincouer from ‘Northern Exposure’? He’s still ticking along at age 95.)
