Like everyone else, I've been unbelievably frustrated watching ISU basketball this season. I went back into the stats since Prohm took over Cyclone basketball to look at any trends. To keep everything as consistent as possible, I strictly looked at regular season conference play. I'm not a statistician by any means, but since I took the time to look at the data myself, figured I'd share it on here. Do with it how you'd like.

We are by the Ames area and trying to find someone that is a good hitting coach for my daughter. Does anyone on here have anybody they are worked with in recently that they would recommend? She is in 8th grade and can kill the ball when she gets a hold of it but her coach shes had messed with her swing a few years and turned her hitting into more of a bunt style and now she can hardly hit to save her life. And no I don't think she is the next greatest thing to come in softball lol but i do want to get her with someone that can help her become the best she can be and enjoy the sport again. So any help is greatly appreciated.

So today my wife and I took our kids (8 and 3) on a day trip from Des Moines to Clear Lake for a kite festival. We ended up having a really good day, and it got us to thinking about other things to do in Iowa that are basically a day or short weekend trip. I'm reaching out to you, CF. Hit me with your best short trip destinations in Iowa for a family with little kids. We came up with Maquoketa Caves and Decorah and kind of ran out of steam after that. Southern Minnesota and anywhere else within around two hours of Des Moines are also fine if you know of any good places or events.

Just watched the oskaloosa vs Norwalk game on mediacom. Question for people foster has a very good outside shot. Would he be a stretch 4 with young at the 5. He had 3 3pt in 1st qrt alone. Other kid i was impressed with was born. Kid can absolutely light it up

While watching a lot of high school and college wrestling the last few months (the coverage on B1G is fantastic BTW) it has become clear we need take it up a notch or two recruiting. I expected a better recruiting bump from from Metcalf. Iowa, Penn State, Ohio State, even UNI are getting better recruits in more numbers than we are. It would be nice to start with Ayala and then live in PA.
