Mathematically, losing that way twice in a row was nearly impossible

Not to throw salt in a very deep and open wound, but what Iowa State has done the last two Saturdays is incredible – in a very frustrating and nearly impossible way.

Thanks to a couple of Fanatics on Twitter for pointing out the following:

That’s insane.

What’s even more wild is the probability that Iowa State would blow both of those games two weeks in a row.

Simply multiple the opposition’s chance of winning, 8% by 5% and you get 0.4% odds of that actually happening.
