They will be assisted by court coaches Jim Flanery (Creighton University) and Robyn Fralick (Michigan State University) at trials.

Crooks is fresh off one of the most productive sophomore campaigns in the nation, averaging a Big 12-best 23.4 points per game while shooting 60.5 percent from the floor. She became the fastest Cyclone and third-fastest Big 12 women’s basketball player to score 1,000 career points, reaching the milestone in just 49 games (vs. Utah, Jan. 5, 2025).

The Algona, Iowa native is a two-time unanimous All-Big 12 selection and was named Third Team All-America by both the Associated Press and the US Basketball Writers Association in 2025. During the 2024-25 season, she was named a Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Top 5 Finalist, as well as appearing on the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy watch lists.

Brown is widely regarded as one of the most well-rounded players in the country, averaging 15.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. She is the only Cyclone to finish a season with at least 400 points, 250 rebounds and 150 assists, completing the feat in both 2023-24 and 2024-25.

The 6-2 forward earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors and was voted a Third Team College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American. In the Big 12 Championship second round, she turned in a career-high 41 points, just one off the school record, to help Iowa State to a 96-88 win.
