Iowa State men’s basketball has officially put Waukee native Cade Kelderman on scholarship, the program announced Friday.
Kelderman spent his first two seasons with the program as a walk-on, and worked his way into the lineup after the injury to Keshon Gilbert sidelined the Iowa State star late in the season.
The 6-foot-1, 185- pound guard played pivotal minutes in Iowa State’s narrow loss to No. 5 Houston, and also went for a three in the team’s Big 12 tournament loss to BYU.
Kelderman hit a season-high five points in the Cyclones’ tournament win over Lipscomb in March.
He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining going into the 2025-26 year.
