The San Francisco 49ers and former Cyclone Brock Purdy have agreed to a new contract, according to Adam Schefter.
Schefter reports Purdy’s new five-year deal is worth $265 million.
It makes Purdy the eighth highest-paid player in the NFL at $53 million per season.
The contract is a stark upgrade from Purdy’s original, four-year, $3.74 million total that he was paid on prior.
Purdy earned his extension two seasons removed leading the San Francsisco 49ers to the Super Bowl, while also putting the team into the NFC Championship before being injured the season before.
San Francisco missed the playoffs in 2024 due to injuries, but hope Purdy can help lead the team back this year.
