Jayden Higgins selected by Houston Texans in NFL Draft

Iowa State wide receiver Jayden Higgins has been selected by the Houston Texans with the 34th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

During his time in Ames, Higgins proved to be a dynamic wide receiver.

Higgins finished his second season with the Cyclones with 1,183 yards on 87 receptions.

His nine touchdowns helped Iowa State to an 11-3 record – the program’s first season in the double-digit win mark, a berth in the Big 12 championship game and a Pop-Tarts Bowl win.

In Houston, Higgins will join a fellow former Cyclone wideout in Xavier Hutchinson, who had 86 yards for the Texans in two playoff games last season.

Higgins is officially the first Cyclone to be selected in the 2025 draft and becomes the highest drafted wide receiver in program history.
