AMES – Keshon Gilbert, Iowa State’s second-leading scorer, will not be on the court for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, according to coach T.J. Otzelberger.

“With Keshon, we’ve decided that he needs to focus on his rehab and getting his body back right, so he won’t be available moving forward,” Otzelberg said during his press conference on Sunday in the Pete Taylor Media Room at Hilton Coliseum.

Gilbert averaged 13.4 points and 4.1 assists per game for the Cyclones this season.

He was the leading scorer for Iowa State in seven of the team’s 33 games coming into the tournament.

“He’s got to focus on getting back healthy and getting back to being him,” Otzelberger said.

Otzelberger’s answers can be seen here, and the full press conference is available at the CycloneFanatic YouTube channel.

Iowa State will face No. 14 Lipscomb on Friday at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
