RECRUITING: Four-star guard Jamarion Batemon to announce decision Monday

Iowa State is in the mix to potentially land a top 60 prospect in the country when Jamarion Batemon announces his college decision on Monday, July 1.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard will be announcing his choice between his top four schools: Iowa State, Marquette, West Virginia and Clemson.

“(Iowa State is) pretty much at the top,” Batemon told CF in an interview in January. “It’s really like them and Marquette.”

West Virginia, which hired former Drake coach Darian Devries, and Clemson emerged later in his recruitment.

Batemon, who’s rated as the No. 54 player in the class by 247 Sports, attends high school at the Milwaukee Academy of Science and is rated as the No. 2 prospect out of Wisconsin.

His full offer sheet includes Iowa State, Marquette, West Virginia, Clemson, Illinois, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Bradley, DePaul, Milwaukee, Cal Poly, and Grambling State.
