Iowa State forward Hason Ward participated in the State Farm Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships at Global Credit Union Arena on the campus of Grand Canyon University Thursday night.
Ward exited in the first round, finishing in eighth place with a score of 45.

Ward is the first Cyclone ever to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest.
Former Cyclone’s, Donovan Jackson (2018), Nazareth Mitrou-Long (2017), Tyrus McGee (2013), Dedric Willoughby (1997) and Fred Hoiberg (1995) have participated in the 3-point contest at the event.
