WBB: Cyclones a No. 7 seed, will face No. 10 Maryland in Stanford’s pod

Iowa State women’s basketball is headed back to the NCAA Tournament.

The Cyclones were announced Sunday as a No. 7 seed and will begin their tournament journey facing off with No. 10 Maryland in Palo Alto, California.

The other side of the pod includes No. 2 Stanford and No. 15 Norfolk State.

The Cyclones finished the season with a 18-10 record in the regular season, including a 12-6 mark in Big 12 play.

Iowa State ended its Big 12 tournament in the championship game for the second straight season, dropping its final matchup with Texas.
