The NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans have signed former Iowa State guard Izaiah Brockington to a 10-day contract.

Brockington formerly played for the Pelicans’ G-League affiliate team, the
Birmingham Squadron.

There, the former Cyclone averaged 13.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in 40 games with the Squadron this season.

The contract begins Monday, March 4 and runs to Thursday, March 14. It will allow Brockington to be eligible to play in four games with the Pelicans.

During that stretch, the Pelicans will face the Raptors, 76ers, Hawks, and Cavaliers (March 5-13).

He becomes the first player from the T.J. Otzelberger (head coaching) era to make an NBA roster.
