Iowa State men’s basketball came in at No. 4 in the final AP Poll released before the start of the NCAA Tournament.

The voters will still release a final poll following the conclusion of the tournament, and brackets were released Sunday.

The No. 4 ranking is Iowa State’s highest since it was ranked No. 4 in 2015 – which was Fred Hoiberg’s last season in Ames.

Iowa State, as a No. 2 seed, will take on No. 15 South Dakota State in Omaha on Thursday during the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
