TCU women’s basketball has elected to forfeit each of it’s next two games, citing an issue of not having enough players.

The team was slated to face the Big 12 Conference’s pair of undefeated teams – Kansas State and Iowa State – in games this week.

Per the Big 12 Conference rules, TCU will be given two conference losses and both Iowa State and K-State are immediately credited with one more conference win. The wins will not be counted to the team’s overall NCAA record.

TCU played its last game against Houston on January 13, in a 77-66 loss, with 10 players seeing the court.

Starting point guard Jaden Owens tore her ACL in the game and announced that she would be out for the season on Tuesday.

The updated Big 12 standings can be seen below.

Iowa State will look to improve to 7-0 in the conference for the first time in program history Wednesday, when they take on Texas Tech in Lubbock (6 p.m. ESPN+).
