For what might be the first time ever, Iowa State Wrestling will have a home dual broadcasted on ESPN.

This year’s Cy-Hawk dual will be broadcasted live on ESPN, Iowa State’s wrestling program announced Friday via Twitter.

The longtime rival programs will square off Sunday, November 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum.

In his seventh season, head coach Kevin Dresser is entering one of the most anticipated seasons in the Dresser Era. The program’s home schedule is packed, featuring matches against Iowa, Northern Iowa and Missouri, along with a trip to Humboldt to take on Wisconsin. According to Intermat’s preseason rankings, all 10 potential starters for the Cyclones are ranked. This season will also mark David Carr’s senior year. Fans have also pushed the program to have to open up more season ticket opportunities due to demand.

The Cyclones open the 2023-24 season Sunday, November 5 at Cleveland State.
