Former president Donald Trump will be in attendance for Saturday’s Cy-Hawk game at Jack Trice Stadium, his team announced today.
“We’re thrilled to invite Donald J. Trump to the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game this weekend,” Trump’s acting Attorney General and former tight end Matt Whitaker said. “President Trump attended this game in 2015 and remembers the incredible passion and electricity of the fans.”
“Tens-of-thousands of Iowans will gather to tailgate and cheer on their favorite team,” Senate Majority Leader and former Iowa State receiver Jack Whitver said. “I’m proud to have President Trump witness the greatest rivalry in college sports.”
Fans unable to make it to the game can tune into it live on FOX (2:30 p.m.) on Saturday.
