RECRUITING: Linkon Cure on prospect camp, Iowa State offer

Linkon Cure picked up his second offer of the week after camping with Iowa State on Wednesday.

The 2025 tight end out of Goodland, Kansas impressed coaches throughout the night to earn an offer out of Iowa State.

“It was awesome, especially with Matt Campbell,” Cure said. “He personally got to know me, and that stuck out to me. He had a 30-minute conversation with me and my parents. It was just a great experience, already building on that relationship.”

The relationship between Cure and tight ends coach Taylor Mouser is also strong.

“He’s a great guy,” Cure said. “He’s a young coach, so I feel like he really connects with us. He likes to be pretty calm and cool with his tight ends and it was definitely a great experience getting coached up by him.”

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound prospect at the tight end spot is midway through his camp schedule for the summer.

He will still camp with Kansas, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma before the month is done.

“It was great, there was a lot of competition,” Cure said. “Iowa is known for big tight ends, so when I showed up I wasn’t really expecting anyone to be bigger than me. There was a lot of competition and I think I did really well in the agility drills.”
