Another of Iowa State’s priority targets in the 2024 recruiting cycle is set to officially visit Ames in the coming weeks.
Three-star Iron, Minn. point guard Isaac Asuma is set to take his official visit the weekend of Feb. 4 when Iowa State is slated to host No. 3 Kansas at Hilton Coliseum, sources confirmed to Cyclone Fanatic publisher Chris Williams on Monday.
Asuma is regarded as one of the best point guards in the Midwest in the 2024 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 126 player in the class, No. 23 point guard and No. 2 player in Minnesota, according to 247Sports.
Iowa State officially offered Asuma on July 29, 2022. He also holds offers from Butler, Hampton, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, TCU and Xavier.
The Cyclones have one of the best 2024 recruiting classes in the country at this point in the cycle, already holding commitments from four-star guard Nojus Indrusaitis and four-star center JT Rock. The duo currently ranks as the No. 3 group of commits in the country early in the cycle.
