Iowa State became the latest school to offer the No. 100 player in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports, just last week. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Christ The King Regional product is considered the No. 24 small forward in the class and No. 4 player in New York.
Pierce also holds offers from Memphis, Florida State, George Washington, Georgia Tech, Illinois, LSU, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Rutgers and St. John’s. The trip to Ames will be Pierce’s second official visit of the cycle after he went to Memphis back in October of last year.
The Cyclones’ recruitment of Pierce is being spearheaded by assistant coach Nate Schmidt.
Iowa State already has the foundation for one of the best recruiting classes in the country in 2024 with four-star guard Nojus Indrusaitis and four-star center JT Rock already in the fold. The duo ranks as the No. 4 group of commits in the country early in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
Iowa State and Texas will tip off from Hilton Coliseum at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
