Izaiah Brockington signs two-way deal with Pelicans

Former Iowa State guard Izaiah Brockington will be on a two-way contract when the 2022-23 NBA season starts this fall.

Brockington’s agent says that the standout Cyclone will be playing with the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the deal.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:

Brockington starred for Iowa State in his lone season in Ames, helping lead the team to a Sweet 16 trip in the first year of the T.J. Otzelberger era.

The Pelicans’ first preseason game will be played in Chicago on Tuesday, October 4 at the United Center when New Orleans faces the Bulls.
