Former Cyclone and native of Ontario Melvin Ejim will be playing some extra basketball this summer.
The Canadian Men’s National Team built a 14-player roster set to compete in the third window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifier this summer.
Ejim will be on the team, headed by former Iowa Energy coach Nick Nurse, and has the opportunity to play his way into a 2024 Paris Olympic spot.
The Canadian Olympic roster will be made up of players from the ‘summer core’ and ‘winter core’ rosters that Canada has put together.
Joining Ejim on the roster are some familiar names that college basketball fans will know.
NBA talents RJ Barrett, Kelly Olynyk, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray will each be lacing up their shoes this summer.
