Iowa State holds steady at No. 15 in AP Poll

Iowa State split its latest pair of basketball games since the last AP Poll came out, losing in the waning moments to Kansas before beating Texas on Saturday to improve to 11-1 at Hilton Coliseum this year.

The No. 15 Cyclones held steady in the rankings, marking the sixth-straight week the program has remained in the top-15 of the AP Poll.

Big 12 foe Baylor dropped to No. 5 after dropping a pair of games at home in the past week while Kansas comes in at No. 7.

In total, five Big 12 schools are ranked in the top 25 with those three joining No. 18 Texas Tech and No. 23 Texas. Three more teams from the conference received votes in West Virginia (14), Oklahoma (7), and TCU (4).

Iowa State will return to the court on Tuesday for its first rematch of the season, facing No. 18 Texas Tech in Lubbock (8:00 p.m. ESPNU)
