Iowa State jumps to No. 16 in CFP Rankings

Iowa State and Texas will be a battle of College Football Playoff top-20 teams. The Cyclones jumped six spots to No. 16 in the third edition of the College Football Playoff rankings while the Longhorns moved to No. 15.

Iowa State is one of four Big 12 teams in the rankings, joined by Oklahoma at No. 6 and West Virginia at No. 9. Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Michigan made up the rankings’ top-four.

Iowa State and Texas will square off Saturday night at 7 p.m. on Longhorn Network.
