The Westgate Las Vegas Superbook has released its Final Four and National Championship odds for the 2018-19 basketball season.
Those guys out in the desert have the Cyclones at 50-to-1 to make a run at the Final Four. Iowa State is a 200-to-1 longshot to win the national title.
Here’s how this stacks up against the rest of the Big 12:
Kansas: 5-4, 6-1
West Virginia: 7-1, 30-1
Texas Tech: 15-1, 60-1
Texas: 20-1: 80-1
Kansas State: 20-1, 80-1
Baylor: 25-1, 100-1
TCU: 25-1, 100-1
Iowa State: 50-1, 200-1
Oklahoma: 50-1, 200-1
Oklahoma State: 75-1, 300-1
Vegas has the Cyclones essentially finishing seventh in the league.
I won’t pretend to be an expert on next year’s Big 12 rosters at this point in time, but that seems low to me.
Off the top of my head, I’d say the Kansas State is by far the best value play here.
Although I’m a big fan of Chris Beard, Texas Tech, to me, seems a bit high at those odds.
