The Cyclone Regional Training Center kicked off training last Tuesday.
Practices involve giving high school wrestlers the opportunity to train with practices led by the C-RTC’s head coach, Mike Zadick, Iowa State wrestling associate head coach and among current Iowa State wrestlers.
On the C-RTC website you can find their mission statement:
“The Cyclone Regional Training Center is affiliated with USA Wrestling and was founded to support athletes who train in the international styles of wrestling. The center uses the wrestling room at Iowa State University and serves elite-level postgraduate resident athletes, as well as younger wrestlers from high school through college. The center provides a place for athletes to train together and be coached by world-class competitors, including those on our staff who were members of the U.S. Olympic and World Teams.”

Jacqueline graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. She has been fortunate enough to have interned for Cyclone Fanatic for 2 and a half years before being promoted to stay on. She currently wears a lot of hats at Cyclone Fanatic: Social Media Director, Iowa State Wrestling beat reporter, and staff photographer. Jacqueline loves reading and watching trash reality TV shows when she's not watching sports. One of her favorite accomplishments is having interned for the Minnesota Vikings and during Super Bowl LII.
