Abdel Nader was one of two Celtics players to score in double-figures during the team’s 89-88 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday. The former Cyclone scored 13 points, which was the second-highest scoring output on the team.
Former Duke Blue Devil Jayson Tatum, the No. 3 pick in this year’s draft, scored 21 points in his pro debut, including a last-second shot to seal the win for the Celtics. The top-overall pick in the draft, Philadelphia’s Markelle Fultz, scored 17 points, blocked three shots, dished an assist and grabbed a rebound.
The Celtics will face San Antonio at 7 p.m. central time on NBATV on Wednesday in their second game in Utah.
Long struggles on day’s 3 and 4 for Pacers in Orlando
Naz Long went 1-of-5 from the field and scored two points in Indiana’s 86-83 win over the Heat on Tuesday before being a DNP-Coach’s Decision in the team’s 94-79 loss to Dallas on Wednesday.
Bubu Palo scored five points and grabbed two rebounds in the loss to Dallas. He was a DNP-Coach’s Decision in the game on Tuesday.
The regular season schedule for the Orlando Summer League will wrap up on Wednesday then championship day will be Thursday. The matchups for Thursday have not yet been announced.
