Durr undergoes successful Tommy John surgery

Junior guard Emily Durr underwent successful Tommy John surgery on her right arm on April 3, according to a report by the Ames Tribune’s Ian Murphy. The expected timetable for recovery is four to five months.

Durr averaged 8.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game during her third season in Ames. Both of those numbers are career-highs. She knocked down 56 3-pointers on 33 percent shooting while helping the Cyclones reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015.

Durr’s role is expected to expand even further during her final season as she’ll be the only senior on the roster.
