KANSAS CITY — These two teams knew each other so well. It was bound to get chippy. It did.

Iowa State led for 36 minutes in meeting No. 3 vs. Oklahoma State on Thursday via a convincing 92-83 victory in the quarterfinal round of the 2017 Big 12 Tournament.

Five Cyclones ended the game in double-figures, including a surprise 13 point performance by Darrell Bowie.

Monte Morris was the headliner though. Iowa State’s senior point guard nearly racked up a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. He isn’t a top-five point guard in the country according to the Bob Cousy folks though. (more on that later)

Below is the game’s final box score. Check out Cyclone Fanatic for complete coverage of Iowa State’s time in KC later today.

Up next for the Cyclones is a date with either Kansas or TCU tomorrow night at 6 (ESPN or ESPN2).
