Cyclones add Michigan defensive end to 2016 class

The momentum for Matt Campbell and his staff on the recruiting trail continues to grow as Iowa State picked up a commitment from Michigan defensive end Eyioma Uwazurike on Thursday night. The commitment was first reported by Scout.com’s Alex Halsted.

Uwazurike is a former Toledo commit with offers from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Temple, Central Michigan and others. He is rated as a three-star prospect by Scout and is the No. 7 defensive end in the Midwest.

The Southfield-Lathrup product will bring a great frame to the Cyclones as he is 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds.
