Iowa State (2-5, 1-3) and Texas (3-4, 2-2) both played in rain storms last Saturday. The Cyclones lost to No. 2 Baylor 45-27. Texas on the other hand outlasted Kansas State in a hard fought, 23-9 defensive struggle.
When the Longhorns come to Ames for Saturday night’s Halloween tussle, they will enter Jack Trice Stadium as a seven-point favorite.

It’s likely that the Cyclones will be led by a new quarterback – sophomore Joel Lanning – when they take the field on Halloween.
