RECRUITING: 3-Star Georgia DB commits to the Cyclones

The trickle has turned into a torrent.

OK, that’s an exaggeration, but Iowa State’s football recruiting is most certainly picking up major steam.

Late Thursday, the Cyclones received another boost, as talented Class of 2016 defensive back Kendrec Grady of Norcross, Ga., Tweeted his commitment.

"have found a home. I am proud to say I am verbally committing to the Iowa State Cyclones. Let’s go!" Grady typed.

Illinois, Louisville, Syracuse and Boston College were among several other schools to offer a scholarship.

Grady — a 3-star recruit according to Rivals.com — visited Ames for the Iowa game. He’s ISU’s second commitment this week. Jamahl Johnson, a defensive lineman from Minnesota committed earlier this week.
