Just the Raiders being the Raiders. The only surprising part of this is that it happened after Al Davis died. Maybe this was done as one last hurrah for Al? Figured the coaching carousel would at least slow down after Al died, but guess not.

Why would anyone want to coach there other than for money? It's a coaching death trap to be in Oakland. And people thought things would change and be different now that Al Davis is gone?

I just dont understand how this happens when Jackson had them in a place they havent been for a while. Unless he really wasnt getting along with higher personnel.

Not exactly sure.
Hate saying this being a packers fan, but Matt Flynn would be a better qb solution than Palmer. Have a longer future and cheaper option. Healthier also. They need to go this type of direction at qb and start getting some youth and stability there. Give the coach at least 3 years to show something. One of the worst ran teams in the league.
