Im really leaning toward buying a new Golf Cart. Does that count?

Its technically a low speed vehicle, even has 4 seats and seatbelts, and all the bells and whistles, lights, speakers, control screen android auto etc.

I had electric and switched to gas. It was several years ago. The electric cart had more issues than the gas one. Get one weak cell and the whole battery is shot. The gas ones have been pretty trouble free.

That's a nice looking cart. What's the price difference between gas/electric on these things?

I don't golf so am asking this from that perspective. Haven't most golf carts been electric for 15-20 years? I just assumed with the constant start, stop nature of them that would be the most logical technology. I could see some of those Gator type farm machines being either, but figured golf carts were all electric long ago.

No. Still gas ones being made. A lot of rentals at courses are gas, they don’t have to worry about charging them that way.

I guess that makes sense. Less overhead costs for infrastructure.

Similar, but not the same. Last week I was in SoCal and I drove one of these EV's around Newport Beach. Street Legal on any streets with a speed limit of 35mph or less. They went about 40 and were a lot of fun. I believe they had around a 40-50 mile range

On a side note, I think every 5 minutes I was asking myself "who can afford these homes?". 1,200 sqft houses/no garage/no yard all for the reasonable price of 3 million! 423.jpg

When we go to Disney World or Disneyland (next up in June), this is now my preferred set of wheels since Parkinson's diagnosis. All electric, goes 6mph all day long - can zip around and budge rude people out of the way :). Thought about getting one with lightning bolts on the side and a an artificial muffler noise maker to really spice things up.

I play a lot of golf and would say the split between gas and electric is about 50/50 at the courses I play. The nicer courses are almost all electric.
I play all over and I rarely see gas carts. If I do, it's usually a cheap track and the conditions will match the price. Iowa does seem to have more gas carts than other places.

Who wants to listen to a gas cart on the golf course?

Gas carts are definitely more prevalent in the Midwest compared to other regions. I was just in Vegas for a bachelor party and we played three different courses. Electric carts only on all three.

Testifying
Don't know the model but saw a Genesis Elec car recently and it looked sharp to me.

Which courses did you play? I hope Paiute or Coyote Springs was on the list!
