I believe the WNBA, her sponsors, and even the fans simply have too much invested in Clark for her to fail. Sort of like a bank being too big to fail.
Because in college she would flop and get the calls from the ref instead of learning how to do better

Yuck. Giving how little I have seen other players get t’ed or tossed for in the WNBA, I was hoping they would nip that childish entitlement in the bud.
This a tough one for the league office. They don’t want to let the whining get out of hand, but at the same time they can’t kill the golden goose.
It's pretty telling how she gets treated with kid gloves compared to other women's athletes. I could see her getting better but I could equally see her being very meh. WNBA will try and ride the hype as long as possible though.
There is a 0% chance she is left off the roster, for reasons other than playing basketball.

That was my point talking about rookie seasons of nba legends over past 40 years.
No rookie actually was MVP, but the two who actually are the greatest two players in NBA history are the only two who did put up MVP caliber numbers as rookies and it wasn’t absurd to think they may have been best in the world even as a rookie.

I know nothing about her other than she’s really good at basketball. Sounds too depressing for me to look into so good for her for overcoming it.
