Just read the Hawkeye Sports press release on the game (wanted to see how much tickets were) and read that ALL FIVE starters for the Hawks were included on the BigTen All-Conference team. What is this nonsense? How big is 1st/2nd/3rd team and does every team get their starters added to honorable mention?
It looks like Perkins- 2nd team Sandfort-third team, and Freeman- Honorable mention. Krikke got some sportsmanship recognition, which is not all conference. Do they start only three players? Perhaps they can use that as an excuse for missing the real tournament this year.
Actually this appears to be just another misrepresentation of fact (often called a lie) by the Hawkeye administration. And still they wonder why they are not liked.

I think I'm too much of a wuss to do that. I might, however, be brave enough to shout "Mop the floor, Tang!" at some point. Would that satisfy your blood lust?
That's the coache's vote. The media voted Sandfort 3rd, and Krikke, Freeman, Dix, and Perkins Honorable mention. Quite the accomplishment.
Imagine being the marketing/PR person that has to continually try to polish that turd of a basketball team every year. Hope Fran gets another contract extension!
