Congrat's to CMB (Baxter), they rolled over Columbus Waterloo 28-7 ! On to the UNI Dome Tuesday night to play a tough and undefeated North Fayette team.

Another interesting matchup Monday will be Ankeny vs. Southeast Polk.

In further news, Bettendorf and Davenport Assumption (a.k.a. *** High) both advanced to the quarterfinals. Must be the reason why I'm no longer all that interested in the state playoffs (that or because neither Davenport North nor North Scott qualified. Then again, neither's a shocker as North has never qualified for the football playoffs in its 25 years of existence and North Scott had to beat Bettendorf last week to qualify - Yeah, right...)

Looks like the 4A field is wide open. Cedar Falls barely got past a weakened Xavier team. Sure Cedar Falls will get another home game so they will have that advantage. Are sites announced yet?

Looks like my Madrid Tigers are back to their winning ways this season. They'll probably make it back to the dome, and then find a way to lose.

I went to the Valley game last night and the defense was very good and the offense was weaker than normal. I do not know much about Newton, but our offense needs to get back to normal fast.
