Some good games today in the Big 12:

Iowa State W 83-54 over KP#299 Drake
Kansas W 96-69 over #134 Lafayette
Kansas State W 71-64 over #53 Texas A&M
Texas W 78-68 over Long Beach State
TCU W 88-57 over UTSA
Oklahoma L 67-69 vs. Washington
West Virginia W 83-69 over NC State

------------

#53 Texas A&M @ Kansas State - Fairly big game here for this Kansas State team. They are up 11 after 14 minutes of play.

#105 Long Beach State @ Texas - The team with the best uniforms in the country comes to Austin, as part of their effort to play the hardest non-conference schedule in the country.

#277 UTSA @ TCU - I can't think of any way I can bring myself to care.

#38 Washington vs. Oklahoma in Las Vegas - Washington's center, sophomore Robert Upshaw, is the national leader in blocks per game, despite only playing 19 minutes per game. Oklahoma will be aiming to give Washington its first loss.

#45 North Carolina State vs. West Virginia in New York - A big, neutral site game for two evenly-matched bubble-ish teams.

Go Big 12!

K-State hangs on, 71-64. Nice win to get help back on track, and good to get another B12 win over the SEC.

OU wetting the bed a bit, down 14 nearing half.

In other news, Spangler got hit in the face three times on one play, which fulfills one of my Christmas wishes.
One more time for the knock-out and mine will be fulfilled.

And West Virginia caps off another pretty good day for the Big 12 with a nice win over a decent NC State team.

This conference is going to be a bloodbath. 6 out of the 10 teams are between #9 and #19 on KenPom at the moment.

I continue to like WVU. They play tough. They have size inside and a great point guard. Both red dirters lost this weekend.

K-State still trying to find their handle. Beating an SEC team is no big deal, not like beating Texas Southern, UNI or some Big 10 power.

Which makes me wonder, is Big 10 hoops chasing Big 10 football dominance?
